Bio:
Vasil Shengelia represents the Fintech and Suptech development department at the National Bank of Georgia.
Vasil is responsible for the development of innovations in the local market. He is in charge of several new projects such as open banking, innovations office, regulatory sandbox, and Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC).
He has over 11 years' experience in the banking sector and more than four as a regulator.
Vasil holds an MBA degree and a bachelor’s degree in Finance.
